I build things
which I like.
This is Bala. Just a normal guy with a 9-to-5 job analyzing systems by day, building tiny useful tools by night. I learn tech by making things. If I need it, I build it; if I see something cool on Instagram or X, I recreate it locally to understand how it works. Most of my apps are vibecoded. I document the entire journey on Medium, LinkedIn & X. Still a novice learning and shipping, one day at a time.
View my workBuilt out of necessity — NotebookLM caps uploads at 200 MB / 500K words per source, and tools like iLovePDF had their own limits for large files. So I built my own. A fast, privacy-first PDF toolkit that handles files up to 1.5 GB and 3,000 pages — split, merge, rotate, reorder, and compress with no uploads and no servers. No file size limits, no restrictions. Now used daily by me and my cousins.
Interactive math game for Grade 3 students with 315+ curriculum-aligned questions. Features instant feedback with explanations, practice mode for learning, exam mode for testing, and a playful owl mascot that guides students through their journey.
I'm Balaji, a normal guy with a 9-to-5 job analyzing systems by day, building tiny useful tools by night. By profession, I'm a business analyst and systems analyst — I've worked extensively in product design and development across payments, financial services, and ERP systems, particularly in the Order-to-Cash cycle for FMCG small enterprises. I gather requirements, break down complex workflows, and bridge the gap between stakeholders and engineering teams. I think in user stories, edge cases, and acceptance criteria.
That product mindset carries over into everything I build on the side. I don't just code — I scope, prioritize, and refine until the thing actually solves the problem. If I need it, I build it; if I spot something cool on Instagram or X, I recreate it locally to figure out how it works.
